Lemon Lily Launch

An early evening of food, beverage, music and nature to benefit the Lemon Lily restoration and the Idyllwild Garden Club. Come to the beautiful gardens of Erin O’Neill in Alpenwood and celebrate the Lemon Lily in its true environment. Music by Joe Baldino, Lemon Lily Beer by Idyllwild Brewing, Cocktails by Scott and Hors D’Ouvres by Design. Tickets may be purchased prior to the event at the Nature Center, the Lemon Lily table at the Post Office or at the door. Cost $20 includes two drinks, food and the garden tour. Additional drinks available.

Taste of Idyllwild

Experience the culinary arts of Idyllwild’s finest restaurants as you sample special creations from their chefs and the art of Idyllwild’s best artists. This kick off event will be the start of the Lemon Lily Silent Auction featuring unique gifts and art. Tickets may be purchased prior to the event at the Nature Center, the Lemon Lemon Lily table at the Post Office. Reservations necessary. Cost $20 includes food and one beverage. Additional beverages available.

Pioneer Town

The Pennyroyal Players (www.pennyroyalplayers.org) will use quilt squares and perform mountain music to tell the story of the Westward Movement. The first show will be at 11 AM and a second at 1:30 PM. Both days. Riley’s farm will be here again to work with the children in building a log cabin and perform mountain music. Pony rides for the kids, a working blacksmith, gold panning, children’s crafts, wool spinning, and period characters complete the day. Great wares will also be available from area vendors.
Lemon Lily Walks, Talks, etc.
from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Idyllwild Nature Center, 25225 Hwy. 243, Idyllwild
Every hour a short guided walk will leave from the front of the museum. Talks by Botanists Dave Stith and Kate Kramer will be at 10 AM and 1 PM. Native plants will be on sale. Vendors will have arts and crafts, BBQ and Mexican food will be available. Experience our wonderful displays in the museum, visit the Silent Auction.

Idyllwild Garden Club Home Tour

Catch the Shuttle to the Fern Valley to see actual Lemon Lilies in a most beautiful setting. Docent led tours of spectacular gardens will take you directly to the lilies. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door. Read more here
Bluegrass Concert

Local musicians the “Reedy Creek Rogues” will open for the Silverado Bluegrass band in the center of town. There will be twelve vendor booths including a hot dog vendor as well as BBQ available from Jo’An’s restaurant and a beer truck to quench your thirst.

High Country Hike
9 a.m. to 3 p.m
Meet at Humber Park
Take a moderate 6 to 7 mile hike to Saddle Junction and beyond in search of lemon lilies. Will be guided by botanist Dave Stith. Bring lunch, snacks and water. Must RSVP in advance; email hikes@lemonlilyfestival.com with name(s) and age(s) of hikers. Participation is limited, first come, first served.
